Joseph's licence is a matter of public record, and you can confirm it yourself in under a minute with the New York State Education Department or through CPAverify, the national lookup run by NASBA.
Joseph Adekunle Komolafe has been a Certified Public Accountant since March 2018, licensed by the New York State Board of Accountancy. Across eight years in practice his licence has remained continuously registered and in good standing, with no disciplinary or enforcement actions recorded against it.
At Ignition Tax, Joseph is the signing CPA on verification letters. He prepares and signs the documents lenders, underwriters, landlords, and immigration authorities ask for when a borrower’s income comes from a business rather than a salary — comfort letters for mortgage files, income verification for self-employed applicants, expense ratio letters for bank statement loans, and source-of-funds letters where a down payment comes from a company account. Every letter goes out on firm letterhead with his name and licence number on it.
His approach is deliberately narrow, and that is the point. A CPA letter is only useful to an underwriter if it stays within what professional standards permit: facts drawn from records the CPA has actually prepared or reviewed, with no forecasts and no assurances about the future. Joseph works with borrowers and loan officers to establish exactly what a lender needs confirmed, then writes a letter that confirms it and nothing more — which is also the letter least likely to come back with follow-up questions.

Source of funds and down payment

Verification for conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo files
Signed, sealed, and notarized where required
Income verification for independent professionals
If a lender’s form asks for wording outside these limits, we tell you, and we work with the underwriter to reframe it into something a CPA can properly confirm. A letter that stays inside professional standards is also the letter most likely to be accepted without follow-up questions.
